Joanne Davies is a British certified hypnotist with seven years of experience helping clients achieve healthy relationships and bodies through hypnosis.
After gaining her law degree in 2007, she worked in disability discrimination law, amounting a wealth of experience and training in physical and mental health conditions and the effects of work environments. This experience and her own personal journey into meditation, mindfulness, and nutrition inspired her to start non-profit wellbeing projects for both mental health patients and their caregivers.
In 2011 she began her Continuing Personal and Professional Development Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis, graduating in 2012. She continued her studies to gain her Post Graduate Degree in Clinical Hypnosis from the University of West London in 2014. By the end of the year she had already built a successful practice, JQ Therapy, in Birmingham, England.
Over the following years she continued her professional development and specialized in relationship and healthy lifestyle work, often working with both issues simultaneously. Owing to her background in discrimination law, Joanne was often sought out by clients with disabilities and from the LGBT community who had elsewhere been underserved, but achieved great success with hypnosis at her practice.
Thanks to interest in her work from high profile corporate executives, Joanne was asked to become a consultant for a Business Improvement District. She has delivered workshops in Italy and Barbados and runs her own intensive retreats. This taught her the value of maximizing time spent away and she now also offers vacation prep hypnosis, enabling clients to take shorter, more meaningful time off.
Today Joanne is based in New York City where she continues to help people get the best from the things that matter most to them.
