Hypnosis for Success Motivation

Can or Can't Toggle Switch Committed to Solution AttitudeWhen I work with clients with procrastination problems and lacking success motivation, I often find that they are not sure about what they what they want, or they want too many things at the same time.

Other times they know what they want, but they simply feel overwhelmed and can’t get started. In some cases they know what they want, they have started their work but consciously get sidetracked, procrastinate and never finish. So they get more discouraged, feel like a failure and don’t know how to move forward.

Hypnosis can address all of these problems and pave the way to success. How?

There are four basic steps to any success: knowing your goals, planning your strategy, executing your plan and closing. You also have to have certain mental attributes, specific emotional and mental states, and personal qualities. Staying focused, clear, driven, determined, positive, punctual, going extra mile, persistent, being energetic, physically healthy – are examples of some of the key ingredients of success.

When I work with my success motivation clients I first spend some time helping them identify their goals. We talk about their one year, five year and ten year plan. I ask a client to describe the steps they would take toward their goals and how exactly they could be accomplished. We talk about what recourses they already have and which need to be acquired and how. There is absolutely nothing impossible. If there is a will, there is always a way.

Visualization of your goals allows the manifestation of those goals by showing your powerful and resourceful unconscious mind what it feels like to have your dreams achieved. You allow your mind to see and feel and maybe in some cases even hear the success of your dreams. This is like titillating your mind, exciting it by the powerful reality like imagery of your dreams. Be surprised how in a waking state you will be almost like on an autopilot, moving in the directions of your goals, feeling more motivated, inspired and energetic than ever.

I spend time with my clients writing their personal story of success, consisting of specific positive affirmations according to their goals. For instance, for a writer who needs focus and motivation to write a screenplay or a novel, I would give suggestions like “You are able to focus on writing the most intricate stories. It is easy for you to extricate stories out of your unconscious mind. All of your wisdom, knowledge and experience from your current or previous existence comes streaming right through you in the most unimaginable ways. You see your theme, your characters and narratives with great clarity.”

In a hypnotic state I guide my clients into a powerful visualization of their outcomes. After the visualization part of hypnosis session, I guide my clients into a deeper state of relaxation to program their minds with their personal positive affirmations for success.

Overcome Harmful Habits with Hypnosis

Nail biting, hair pulling, skin picking, thumb sucking, smoking are all common bad harmful habits that can easily be overcome with hypnosis and replaced with new positive and healthy habits. Instead, you can be programmed to take care of your nails and skin, to exercise moderately and comfortably, and lead an over-all healthy life style.

Most bad habits are associated with some positive feeling of satisfaction or comfort. These associations are stored in your unconscious mind and were formed at some point in your life.  It doesn’t matter when and how they were formed, because for hypnosis all we need to do is program your mind with new specific affirmations about the negative aspects of your habit and the positive consequences of overcoming it. Sometimes, in the case with bad habits, all your mind “knows” is, how comfortable it makes you feel to bite your nails, pick your skin or pull your hair, while logically you know it is unpleasant, un-appleaing and overall useless. Through hypnosis you can rewire these associations and remove the old patterns. You will stop the bad habit and never come back to it.

When I work with clients to help them overcome bad habits with hypnosis, I use a hypnotic induction to deep mental and physical relaxation. When the client reaches a state of trance, I give them specific suggestions to help them break an old bad habit and substitute it with a new healthy behavior.

How to hypnotize yourself

Does self-hypnosis work?

People often ask me if self-hypnosis works and  what’s the best way to do self-hypnosis. There are many ways, of course. You can listen to self-hypnosis audios with a hypnotic induction leading to trance. You can meditate using deep breathing techniques or your personal mantras. You can also look at various hypnotic moving visuals, like the waves of the ocean. Or you can use hypnotic visuals still images, like spirals for example. The goal of all of these methods is to help you achieve a thoughtless state of mind, where you no longer judge your environment or the information that comes into your mind.

I found a hypnotic spiral on fotolia images, which doesn’t look like a usual hypnosis spiral. It’s actually a square, which consists of many circles with warm light red to black colors. If you look at this hypnotic image, after a few seconds you will find yourself getting hypnotized, all thoughts will naturally begin to push away into the distance. You will feel a subtle relaxation in your facial muscles. Even your eyes will feel hypnotized, feeling a little heavy and very relaxed. A soothing wave of relaxation will spread down into your nose and cheeks, all the way down into your chin. Try it for yourself. Just stare at this image below for a few moments. Once you feel relaxed, you can simply say your positive affirmations out loud, letting them sink deep into your unconscious mind. For example, if you want to feel more focused and productive today you can use these affirmations:

I feel more focused today    My mind is sharp and clear   I have a great memory

I accomplish more every day   I feel more and more productive  Ideas come naturally to me

I feel more energized now    My thoughts are positive   I am driven   I succeed every day

Post-Hypnotic Suggestion to Overcome Anxiety

New York Hypnotherapy and Lavender Oil Anchor

I once worked with a woman who came to me to overcome the anxiety she associated with seeing her daughter-in-law. She experienced an over-all negative state, which hindered her from expressing herself and simply having a good time with family when they gathered for dinners. I asked what she wanted to feel instead. She said that she didn’t want to feel a sudden liking of this woman or any friendship yet. She simply wanted to feel at ease. She wanted to be comfortable enough to interact normally with her family without constantly experiencing an unpleasant anxiety when she looked at or tried to speak with her daughter-in-law.

I asked her to recall a memory from the past when she felt total bliss and happiness. She said it was with her kids when they were small and they were all lying in bed together. At that moment her life felt worth living.

I explained to her how creating a specific anchor and associating it with this positive memory could help her deal with her anxiety. She could use a trigger associated with this memory and use it every time she was near her daughter-in-law. Over time this would naturally replace her state of anxiousness.  I also suggested some examples of different anchors she could use. She chose an olfactory anchor of lavender oil.

I hypnotized her into trance state and guided her back in time to her memory of when she was with her kids in bed, full of happiness and joy. She gently smelled lavender oil with her eyes closed, as I brought it near her nose. We did this a few times, so that the lavender oil anchor could be naturally and efficiently associated with the state of ease, comfort and peace.

A few days later she told me that she had dinner with her family and her daughter-in-law. She put a little bit of lavender oil on her wrist. Whenever she needed to experience the state of calm and ease, she simply smelled her wrist and felt very positive. She was able to interact and communicate and make choices from a very powerful and positive place of peace and love. This became a powerful post-hypnotic suggestion with a little aid of lavender oil anchor.

Hypnosis for Performance Anxiety

Woman In Front of MicrophonesI often work with clients to help them overcome performance anxiety and stage fright. They can be actors, musicians, dancers or simply someone who needs to build confidence when speaking publicly or interviewing for jobs.

Confidence is a state of total focus and certainty. It is a very positive state where your thoughts are streamlined from a very powerful positive place as are your words, actions, movements, posture and body language.

One of the ways to experience this state of confidence is through programming your mind with positive suggestions, while deeply hypnotized. Suggestions such as “from this time onward you feel confident every time you speak. You are determined, focused and driven.” can reach your unconscious mind and become your permanent programming, affecting your actions and behaviors in a new and empowering way. When I work with clients I design personal scripts with affirmations that are specific to each individual client’s issues.

Another way to secure a desired state like confidence or focus is via setting specific triggers. These are called anchors. Anchors can be visual, auditory, kinesthetic or olfactory.  While a client is in a state of hypnosis, I guide them into a future situation where they can see and feel themselves feeling confident and certain. I paint this imaginary situation as if already happened, so my clients can experience an array of positive emotions associated with this confident state. Once they are fully there imagining the scene and feeling the emotions, I direct them to use their special trigger, which will then be forever associated with this positive state. This trigger can be used anytime to call on the state of confidence at will.  Some examples of triggers are deep breathing, saying a code word to yourself, the use of certain hand positions or visualizing something specific in your mind.

Crisis Management and Hypnosis

Every nation, every society, every human – every form of life at once ( at least) is met with crisis. How you respond to it and what choices you make in the aftermath – is what determines your success.

What is crisis? “Crisis is any event that is, or expected to lead to, an unstable and dangerous situation affecting an individual, group, community or whole society. Crises are deemed to be negative changes in the security, economic, political, societal or environmental affairs, especially when they occur abruptly, with little or no warning.” ( Wikipedia)

In personal crisis, it is common to witness certain external systems, like business partnerships, marriage, relationships, work place  and etc– crashing; and certain personal beliefs about relationships, road to success, survival, parenting, and simply how the world works or should work – also crashing as they no longer provide the desired result. When crisis comes, it shakes up your external modules and mental model of the world.

During such difficult times people tend to fall into depression and despair, everything they believed in and found stable or secure has come to a halt.  Questions arise that can’t be answered right away. It is also common for people to start making fast decisions, which are usually based on fear, insecurity and desperation. Any decision made from such negative place results in a prolonged crisis or simply another dreadful circumstance.

Instead, it is wise to take advantage of the crisis and begin to examine your life and your personal model of the world. It’s ok to doubt this model. It’s OK to crash it. In fact, it has already begun to crash, on its own, hence the crisis.

When crisis comes, literally, PAUSE. Put your panic, your fears and instability on hold.

When I work with clients who deal with critical situations life, I guide them to meditate deeply and help them draw upon their inner recourses to attain internal piece and alignment despite the dreadful circumstances. From that place of strength and power you can begin to make better and bolder decisions, which will help you rise out of ashes of crisis.

You will be surprised how the new opportunity maybe knocking at the back door. The solution to problem maybe lingering in the distant corner of your beautiful mind.

Hypnosis and Dating

How can hypnosis help you improve your relationships?

I recently shot a short video, which I may develop into a TV or an online show called “HypnoDating with Elena Beloff.” The concept is simple: I help people find love using hypnosis. I work with people individually to help them break through limiting beliefs and perceptions. I also work in groups using hypnosis to reverse gender, so the subjects could understand how the opposite sex thinks and functions.
